seeing God move.
A friend of mine recently showed me a blog that inspires her. The blogger's latest post was a challenge to write down what's good about God and I'm going to accept her challenge.
She says, "so i have this idea. it’s more of a simple challenge, really. this [school] year, i want to focus on what’s good about God. He is so full of goodness that it will really just be a tip-of-the-iceberg sort of thing, but i think it will really put things in perspective. here’s what i’m gonna do: every day, whether at the beginning, middle, end, on a napkin, in a journal, in a google doc, one word, a paragraph, or a sentence, i am going to write what is good about God. it could be one word, but i’m going to write how He rescued me that day. plus the date, so i can look back on that day. example: [omnipresent. God is omnipresent. He rescued me from feeling lonely today]. i want to never let myself forget where Jesus is in my days; right here. so this is what i’m going to do about it. i am also inviting whoever happens to be reading this to join me! if you’re reading this post: 1) thank you! you’re great! 2) it’d be awesome if you join in on the “what’s good about God” mini-challenge! the truth is that He is good all the time, so it shouldn’t be hard to scratch the surface of His goodness with our simple human words."
I'm going to do this for 21 days because our church is doing a 21 day fast for some light into what direction we need to go with a few things...so this is my fast - that I'm going to see God, document it, and at the end - look back on how He's moving. I'm excited! Join me if you want to.
