words of encouragement i read yesterday before the last appointment of the 1st trimester:
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive BLESSING from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty - he is the King of glory." - Psalm 24
Everything is His - my life, my marriage, my pregnancy. I am not in control and it is not because of my "goodness" that I deserve this blessing. He has a plan for this life that's growing inside of me.
We promise to raise this baby in the word. To teach him/her that goodness and mercy come ONLY from you. That everything good is from you, and bad things happen because this isn't where we are meant to be forever. We are fighting a daily battle and we promise to protect and equip this child the best we can.
We want to do our very best to make sure that our marriage is always important. If Jeremy and I are not right...our family is not right and that is worse than if our child has everything it wants all of the time. We want to always fight for our faith, marriage and now...our little family unit.
We want you, sweet baby. We will mess up. We know that my stubbornness and Jeremy's temper and our selfishness will get in the way sometimes. We don't promise to be perfect, but we promise to love you.
